Hear from our exchange participants

I absolutely loved being in Mexico City.
I loved the people, the culture, and the food! I made some incredible friends from Mexico and all over the world. And my students were amazing- they were some of the bravest, strongest, and most empowering people I have met. I learned so much more from my students than I could teach them. Viva Mexico!
Spending six weeks in Mexico City challenged me to be a better person, to truly become a global citizen of the world
We, as young people are the ones responsible for the world we live in and we need to start taking ownership and action by breaching the international gaps. For me the best and most beneficial part of my experience was meeting the other volunteers and forming truly cross cultural relationships. Some of my closest friends at the moment are from Mexico, Venezuela, Poland and China and these connections will stay with me for life.
Washington DC
A transformative experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Through AIESEC's Global Volunteer program I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with a local NGO in Tarapoto, Peru, Asociacion Cerelias. Their mission is the rescue, reintroduction, and repopulation of wild animals, such as the Black Capuchin monkey, that have been victims of illicit trafficking and deforestation. Working with them was a gift and a privilege and I am extremely humbled by the work they are doing. As a whole, living in Peru with an absolutely amazing host family was such a transformative experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. It expanded my horizons and my outlook on life and the world in ways I couldn't explain and in which I am extremely grateful.
